Your Wedding Reception Entance Songs Should ROCK!

June 1, 2011 – One of the most exciting moments for your wedding will be the grand entrance.  Typically, the MC will announce the names and relations of your wedding party members.  Your bridesmaids, groomsmen, maid or matron of honor, best man, and sometimes the parents and the flower girl and ring bearer.  After the wedding party has been introduced, next comes the coup de grâce: The bride and groom’s entrance!  Both of these events are usually done to some upbeat and lively music.  These wedding reception entrance songs have to be rockin’ if you really want to make the best statement.  The statement you will be making is that your wedding will be awesome!

The main reason why this moment needs to be such a “grand entrance” is that it is the kick off to your celebration.  If it is not lively, all of your guests will inevitably conclude that your wedding reception will continue on as drab as the first event.  Making sure your wedding reception starts off with a bang is like adding cheap wedding insurance against your guests growing restless and leaving early.  This is how important it is that the songs you use rock the house.

Of course, there are other ways to make the grand entrance awesome.  Consider writing up a background on each party member.  Interesting tidbits of information announced as the bridesmaid or groomsman enters will make them feel special and draw everyone in to the moment.  Things like what they do for a living, what their hobbies are, where they are from, and who they are to you, are all great starting points.  Use this information to write up two to three sentences on each person and as they enter, have them read aloud.  Remember to keep the upbeat music going on in the background, too.  This will only enhance the experiences for all of your wedding guests–and guarantee your wedding’s success.
